Stellenbosch 2026 White Edition
Stellenbosch has long been the beating heart of South African wine. With mountains framing the vineyards, cooling ocean breezes drifting inland from False Bay, and a remarkable diversity of soils, it produces some of the country’s most expressive and age-worthy white wines.
The Paisley Bear Wine Club Stellenbosch 2026 White Edition celebrates the breadth of this iconic region through six distinctive wines. From crisp Sauvignon Blanc and vibrant Chenin Blanc to textured Rhône-inspired blends and elegant Chardonnay, this collection showcases the many faces of Stellenbosch white wine.
Whether you’re gathering around a winter lunch table, escaping a cold front with good friends, or simply looking for an excuse to postpone Monday, these wines were selected to bring warmth, conversation, and discovery to every glass.
1. Delheim Chardonnay Sur Lie
Estate & Terroir
Nestled on the slopes of the Simonsberg Mountain, Delheim benefits from decomposed granite soils and cooling mountain influences that help retain freshness and balance in their fruit. The “Sur Lie” style allows the wine extended contact with yeast lees, adding texture and complexity.
Nose
Lemon curd, ripe pear, white peach and subtle toasted brioche, layered with hints of roasted almonds and citrus blossom.
Palate
Elegant and textured with vibrant citrus, stone fruit richness and a creamy mouthfeel balanced by bright acidity. The extended lees ageing contributes complexity without sacrificing freshness.
Food Pairing
Roast chicken with crispy skin, creamy mushroom risotto, butter-poached fish, or a generous serving of cauliflower cheese.
Winter Stellenbosch Moment
A rainy Saturday afternoon. The rugby is on. Somebody insists they only came for one glass. Nobody believes them.
2. Cavalli Unoaked Chenin Blanc 2024
Estate & Terroir
Located in the Helderberg region of Stellenbosch, Cavalli enjoys maritime cooling influences from False Bay. Their vineyards produce fruit with natural freshness and vibrant aromatics.
Nose
Green apple, quince, fresh pear, citrus zest and delicate white flowers.
Palate
Pure, energetic and refreshing. Bright orchard fruit and citrus flavours are supported by lively acidity and a clean mineral finish.

3. Raats Family Wines Original Chenin Blanc 2023
Estate & Terroir
Few producers have championed Chenin Blanc as passionately as Bruwer Raats. Sourced from old bush vines rooted in decomposed granite soils across Stellenbosch, this wine is a benchmark expression of South African Chenin Blanc.
Nose
Yellow apple, honeycomb, pineapple, fresh citrus and subtle floral notes.
Palate
Beautifully balanced with concentrated fruit, bright acidity and a long mineral finish. Rich enough for winter comfort, fresh enough to keep reaching for another sip.

Winter Stellenbosch Moment
The lunch that starts at midday and somehow reaches sunset without anyone noticing.
4. Spier Creative Block 2 2023

Drawing fruit from carefully selected Stellenbosch vineyard sites, Creative Block 2 combines Sauvignon Blanc’s freshness with Sémillon’s texture and complexity. The result is one of South Africa’s most consistently celebrated white blends.
Nose
Gooseberry, lime zest, passion fruit and fresh herbs layered with subtle flinty complexity.

Grilled kingklip, seafood pasta, herb-roasted chicken, or a sharing platter loaded with local cheeses and preserves.
Winter Stellenbosch Moment
Friends squeezed around a table that’s too small for the amount of food that’s arrived. Nobody is complaining.
5. Zevenwacht The Tin Mine White
(Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Roussanne, Sémillon, Viognier)

Final Sip
The Paisley Bear Wine Club Stellenbosch 2026 White Edition (6 bottles) is a celebration of South Africa’s most famous wine region and the remarkable diversity it produces.
From mountain slopes and granite soils to ocean-cooled vineyards, every bottle tells a different Stellenbosch story. Together, they create a collection perfectly suited to winter gatherings, long lunches, fireside dinners, and those wonderfully unplanned occasions where one bottle becomes six.
Because great wine isn’t just about what’s in the glass.
It’s about who’s sitting around the table when you open it.
